At this year’s event, TCS was recognized in conjunction with its partners Boeing and 3M, who garnered awards for their work in the categories of “Enterprise Technology Leadership” and “Product Leadership,” respectively.
Now in its 10th year, the Manufacturing Leadership Awards, presented annually by the Manufacturing Leadership Community and Frost & Sullivan, honor innovative manufacturing companies that demonstrate high-impact breakthrough projects in the arenas of Supply Chain Leadership, Sustainability, Workplace Leadership, Engineering & Production Technology Leadership, Enterprise Technology Leadership, Product Leadership, Operational Excellence, Customer Value Leadership, and Industry Advocacy Leadership. The awards recognize those achievements that set manufacturers apart from their competitors and deliver clear and compelling return on investment across a wide variety of domains.
“We are honored to be recognized again as ‘Technology Partner’ for our work developing cutting-edge manufacturing transformation solutions and providing exceptional IT leadership for our customers,” said Milind Lakkad, Vice President and Global Head, Manufacturing, TCS. “Being recognized by The Manufacturing Leadership 100 Awards affirms our ongoing commitment to holistic and comprehensive partnerships with our clients to provide top-notch IT leadership and innovative transformation.”
TCS helped Boeing in the development of ThreatNavigator, an incident management system that overlays real-time risk and threat data with Boeing assets to provide early warning to severe crises, weather and hazmat related disruptions, and help keep their people, property, assets, and supply chain safe.
“We are pleased to be among this group of leading companies receiving recognition for solving some of the complex challenges facing our industry,” said Rod Mattison, Senior Manager, Boeing IT. “This award recognizes the hard work of the ThreatNavigator team to come up with an innovative solution to help protect our employees and business operations.”
For 3M, TCS assisted in the development of the Intra-Oral Imaging Device, a product targeted for the Oral care industry that utilizes state of the art optics, embedded design, high-speed image processing algorithms and robust, real-time modelling software.
“The Manufacturing Leadership Award judges were very impressed with the level of innovation achieved by 3M and The Boeing Company and the wide-ranging expert assistance offered to both by TCS,” said Jeff Moad, director of the Manufacturing Leadership Awards at Frost & Sullivan. “3M’s Intra-Oral Imaging Device project broke new ground by driving down the cost of patient care, while also enabling a new level of physician cloud-based collaboration. And Boeing’s ThreatNavigator global early warning system is a breakthrough approach to protecting manufacturing assets and, more importantly, people.
