Siemens PLM Software Commemorates Partners at the 2016 Converge AP Executive Partner Forum

Siemens PLM Software held its 2016 Converge AP Executive Partner Forum, formerly known as Go! Partner Conference, on 11-14th January in Hainan, China, to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its valued channel partners across the region and gain alignment on key strategies for mutual success in a changing world.

This year’s conference event was opened to Platinum and Gold Partners and a select number of Silver Partners. The event was structured around current manufacturing ‘hot’ topics and trends that are revolutionizing the industry. As manufacturers within the region face more product complexity and challenges to gain a competitive edge, manufacturers are recognizing and adopting the expanding role of digital technology as a fundamental strategy to realize product innovation.

The general sessions and breakout topics were focussed on the challenges and opportunities in 2016 within Asia Pacific, supporting partners who are gearing up for their customers to go through a digital transformation. The sessions kicked off with Tony Hemmelgarn, Executive Vice President, Global Sales Marketing & Service Delivery at Siemens PLM Software, who spoke on executing an Industry focussed go-to-market plan, using campaigns for every industry and new sales initiatives to help partners define concrete transformation initiatives to help their customers take advantage of these opportunities.

Pete Carrier, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Siemens PLM Software reinforced how Siemens is uniquely positioned to help customers achieve smart innovation and how Siemens’ Smart Innovation Portfolio provides the tools necessary to transform their operations into a digital enterprise.

Keynote speaker Lothar Herrmann, CEO Siemens Greater China, delivered Siemens’ vision on Industrie 4.0  and its significant strides in building out its vision for how manufacturing companies will operate in a digital world. This was followed by a Siemens’ customer, Haier, who shared their successful deployment of digitalization strategy for their company and also in the global consumer electronics industry.

During this event, special awards were distributed to partners demonstrating excellence across a range of categories with Shanghai United Grand Information Technology Co. Ltd winning the Top Partner Award in Asia Pacific.
Carrier, said “We would like to heartily congratulate our partners on their win. Partnerships are key to advancing innovation success as teamwork is a highly critical component for all industries. Siemens takes pride in equipping and supporting our partners with high quality PLM products, solutions and services, and industry and business strategies to collaboratively maximise the PLM investments for their customers. Given the rising demands of consumers across industries, PLM is becoming increasingly vital and organizations need to leverage digital technologies to stay ahead of the competition. Siemens helps manufacturers optimize digital enterprises and realize the innovations.”
