Feb 22, 2017: Siemens PLM Software held its 2017 Converge AP Executive Partner Forum from 16th – 18th January in Phuket, Thailand, to celebrate the outstanding business and strong growth performances from channel partners across the region.


This year’s event was open to Platinum and Gold Partners and a select number of Silver Partners. Siemens brought together key business partners and industry leaders to discuss how manufacturing companies will operate in a digital world enabling Siemens’ partners to understand how to address their digitalization strategy within their organization. The event highlighted the importance of how manufacturers must take a new approach to their business – realizing innovation through digitalization.


The general sessions and breakout topics focussed on the challenges and opportunities in 2017 within the Asia Pacific region and supporting partners who are gearing up for their customers to go through the digital transformation. Key discussion topics included how Siemens channel partner ecosystem continue to grow, deliver customer value and industry knowledge offering strategic consultation to their customers with Siemens’ industry expertise and product portfolios.


The sessions kicked off with Bob Jones, Executive Vice President, Global Sales Marketing & Services, Siemens PLM Software, who spoke on Siemens’s continued investment in digitalization and the building blocks of technology and strategies to transform the industry. Siemens firmly believes that this digital revolution will take businesses further in the industry and aims to help their customers take advantage of these opportunities.


Arunkumar J, Industry Director and Practice Head, Frost & Sullivan provided a perspective on the emerging manufacturing transformation and its business impact on the automation solution providers and their partners. He shared his research insights on the end user challenges, key expectations and technology adoption trends in Asia. Arun concluded his thoughts by stressing on the significance of smart and sustainable manufacturing in Asia Pacific and the need for solution providers as well as its partners to adopt a “collaborate and compete” approach.


During the event, special awards were distributed to partners demonstrating excellence across a range of categories with Shanghai United Grand Information Technology winning the Top Partner Award in Asia Pacific.


Pete Carrier, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Siemens PLM Software reinforced how Siemens is taking a leadership position in merging virtual and real product development, and production automation with the new Digital Factory and Smart Innovation.
