Radan WebQuote Revealed to Russian Market

Nov 21, 2016: Radan’s online order calculation service, WebQuote, was demonstrated in Russia for the first time, at the Metal-Expo 2016 trade fair in Moscow.

Radan reseller M-TECK Ltd held a seminar at the exhibition – and are now hosting a series of presentations across the Russian, CIS and Baltic markets – showing manufacturers how their customers can benefit from the system, which calculates manufacturing costs and lead times.

Using this unique way of getting in touch with sheet metal companies, a customer logs on to the subcontractor’s website portal, uploads DXF files of the parts they want to order, fills in the part details, including material, thickness and quantity, and then sends the request.

The quote comes through within a couple of moments, and if it’s acceptable, the customer submits the order. The subcontractor receives the DXF files, Radan parts, bill of materials, and order information via the WebQuote server.

Currently WebQuote is only available in the Dutch and German markets, but Irina Suvorova, M-TECK Ltd’s Sales Director, says if there is sufficient demand in Russia, CIS and the Baltics, they will introduce it there.

M-TECK supplies sheet and profile metal processing machinery and industrial manufacturing automation solutions, along with maintenance. For around two years they have been a exclusive supplier of Han’s Lasers for sheet and profile laser cutting, and distributors of Vero Software’s sheet metal CAD/CAM solution Radan, and its powerful high speed CAD viewer and analyser PartXplore.

Irina Suvorova says: “Metal-Expo was the perfect forum to launch our series of seminars about WebQuote, as visitors were looking for the most state-of-the art equipment and manufacturing solutions to take their businesses to the next level.”
