Over 150 Attend Alphacam Seminar in Switzerland
GLOUCESTER, UK, Nov 21, 2017 – More than 150 Alphacam users in Switzerland attended a four-day seminar hosted by the software’s national reseller in the country, MW Programmation, to learn about the latest items of new and enhanced functionality.
The morning sessions were dedicated to the new items, along with looking at three macros specifically created by MW Programmation for file management, the tool library, and their new Swiss lathe module.
And the afternoon workshops focused on Automation Manager, Laser DK, and machine configuration.
Delegates also learned of a special partnership between MW Programmation and cutting tool manufacturer Louis Belet, whose solid carbide and PCD tools are used mainly in the micro-mechanic and watch-making industries, and also play a part in cutting aerospace and medical components.
MW Programmation are developing compatibility between their own Tool Manager interface and the toolfinder function on Louis Belet’s website. “This means customers can download the tool they need and automatically import it, along with all necessary information and cutting parameters, into Alphacam,” says MW Programmation Application Technician, Loïc Guémené. Currently Louis Belet has around 7,000 tools in its catalogue.
