TURKU, Finland, Feb 7, 2018 – MagiCAD 2018 UR-2.1 patch for AutoCAD is now available for download. The patch resolves an issue which affected switchboard and host areas in electrical design when using the previous Update Release 2 version of MagiCAD Electrical 2018 for AutoCAD

Description of the resolved issue

The issue caused switchboard references and host references, which are normally displayed for each object based on the established cable connections, to be updated and displayed only based on Switchboard Area and Host Area in cases where areas were being utilised and the circuit symbols matched the conditions of the area’s system filter. In all other cases, the switchboard and host were not updated or displayed correctly.

Nevertheless, it was possible to use switchboard areas and host areas correctly in systems which required the switchboard references and host references to be displayed based on the areas. When the circuit symbols matched the conditions of the area’s system filter, the switchboard and host references were displayed as part of circuit symbol attributes, part properties, part property lines and dimension texts based on the switchboard references or host references of that particular area.

You can download the patch either by using the ‘Check for Updates’ functionality integrated within the MagiCAD software, or alternatively, from the MagiCAD Download Portal at: https://portal.magicad.com/Download/.
