AMOEBA Technologies, a private company, has developed PRESTO, a top quality innovative product customized for the electronics market. The acquisition of this product will enable ESI Group to expand its targeted and domain specific positioning in the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) market and more specifically, to the dynamic electronics cooling market, leveraging PRESTO’s prestigious initial client portfolio. Apple, Amazon (Lab123), and Qualcomm are among the early adopters of PRESTO, helping to establish the reputation of the product in the marketplace. On the service side, Google, MagicLeap, and VSN Mobile, are among its initial clients.

PRESTO is a highly promising product, already subscribed and validated by some major players who need an innovative CFD solution to steer system integration within the framework of the development of electronic devices such as computers, mobile devices, automotive electronics, medical electronics, data centers, and so on. This operation should be accretive in the short term as PRESTO already benefits from revenues from its commercial base at an initial stage presently limited in the USA. ESI Group intends to actively promote this new generation cooling optimization product and solution worldwide, and to extend it to the disruptive innovation benefits for industry of the multi-domain ‘as built, as tested’ Virtual Prototyping approach pioneered by ESI. Such advanced Virtual Engineering strategy is already largely deployed in the Transportation industry but is yet to be significantly adopted by the electronic device manufacturers and therefore creates a great market opportunity.
