IRVINE, CA, USA, Oct 9, 2018 – EON Reality Inc., the world leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality based knowledge transfer for industry and education, together with VIA University College and Viborg Municipality inaugurate an Interactive Digital Center in Viborg, Denmark. The IDC will focus on creating healthcare, engineering, and educational content areas in support of students at VIA University and workers in Denmark.
By tapping into the game development community in Viborg, EON Reality and VIA University will train the next generation of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) developers through the VR Innovation Academy to support the needs of regional students and companies. Students will learn about the AVR development process including coding, modeling, and animation.
“By combining the right skills and resources, we will create a unique differentiator in Viborg together with VIA University,” said Michael Lundorff-Hansen, Managing Director of EON Reality Denmark. “Here we have collaborated with students from VIA University to develop new ways of learning through Augmented and Virtual Reality.”
The partnership between EON Reality and VIA University will benefit the local economy by implementing new technologies in construction, industry, health, and other areas where AVR training can make an impact. Additionally, students will become better versed in the technologies that the future workplace will rely on.
“When a company like EON Reality comes to us to invite close cooperation, it opens up a world of opportunity for our students. In general, VIA’s mission is to educate the graduates that companies need, and the closer the interaction we can create between our education and business, the better it is,” said Harald Mikkelsen, VIA University’s Rector.
