CNC Software Introduces Mastercam Quick Part Series
TOLLAND, CT, USA, Jul 23, 2019 - CNC Software, Inc., the developers of Mastercam CAD/CAM software, are pleased to announce the Mastercam Quick Part Series, a guided curriculum that takes students through the CAD/CAM/CNC process from project start to a finished part.
These tutorials provide instructors a convenient means of teaching students about manufacturing terminology, techniques, and processes while providing valuable experience using Mastercam. These project-based learning tutorials are a fast way to teach and learn Mastercam. Instructors have the option to teach everything from introductory lessons all the way to advanced CAM applications using the software they will likely encounter as professionals.
“One of the best parts of this series is the self-guided assignments at the end of each project-based learning tutorial,” said Russ Bukowski, Chief Experience Officer, CNC Software, Inc. “We’re going to challenge students to take the knowledge that they’ve earned and created something on their own.”
Learn the Latest Technology
Each Mastercam Quick Part tutorial focuses on different learning objectives to encourage students to take a proactive approach to learning and growing their skill set. Throughout the process, students will learn the latest Mastercam terminology, using a wide array of design and programming tools.
Simplified User Experience
The Mastercam Quick Part Series includes an add-on for Mastercam 2020, the Quick Part Interface, which simplifies the application. By minimizing the number of functions shown, students can focus on learning the most important features first. Once they become familiar with Mastercam, they can easily switch to the full Mastercam experience.
The Quick Part Series is free to instructors teaching at schools with the Mastercam Educational Suite. The tutorials include both instructor and student guides as well as an introductory video. They also provide step-by-step instructions and all accompanying Mastercam part files. Questions at the end of each chapter reinforce and assess student knowledge. Instructor tools include Learning Objectives, Instructor Notes, and a Student Challenge.
