CADFEM India to offer Motor-CAD Multi-physics Software in India
April 16, 2019: India – CADFEM India, popularly known as the one-stop-shop for all your simulation requirements, has been assisting manufacturing companies to implement Simulation Driven Product Development. In order to provide better solutions for motor & generator manufacturers, CADFEM India has signed a strategic partnership with UK-based Motor Design Limited (MDL) to sell, support and promote the multi-physics software package Motor-CAD.
Motor-CAD enables design engineers to evaluate motor topologies and concepts across the full operating range and produce designs that are optimised for performance, efficiency, size and cost. The software’s four integrated modules—EMag, Therm, Lab and Mechanical—enable multi-physics calculations to be performed iteratively, so users can get from concept to final design in less time.
Motor-CAD Modules offer –
EMag: Offers a fast 2D finite element module for accurate electromagnetic and electrical performance predictions.
• Therm: Combines a lumped circuit and finite element thermal calculation for optimizing the cooling system of a machine.
• Lab: Provides efficiency mapping and duty cycle/drive cycle transient outputs within minutes.
• Mechanical: Offers a fast 2D finite element module for accurate rotor stress analysis predictions.
With Motor-CAD, accurate electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical calculations can be performed in minutes, allowing users to respond to changing specifications, innovate and explore the whole design space. The results are presented in an easy to understand form for analysis and can be exported for integration into larger workflows using advanced links to other software.
“Motor-CAD is an innovative tool developed to help motor designers to perform in-depth tests and gain larger insights. Starting this year, CADFEM India takes the pleasure to promote MotorCAD in India and gain rights to sell & support the Motor-CAD prospects & customers within India. With this partnership CADFEM India offers wide range of products that meets every industry’s simulation requirements.” said Mr. Rahul Pandita, Country Manager CADFEM India in a statement.
“Our global distributors are carefully selected to ensure Motor-CAD users worldwide receive the best possible support and, with this in mind, we are delighted to announce our partnership with CADFEM India,” said Dr. James Goss, Chief Executive Officer of MDL.
