3D Systems Announces Cubify Game Design Challenge
April 7, 2014 – 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) today announced the kickoff of its Cubify Game Design Challenge! This contest challenges designers and game enthusiasts to brainstorm what makes a great game and bring their vision to life with an interactive, *3D printable game. One lucky winner will score a Cube 3D printer for their home, and that winner could be you!
To enter, simply design a game that can be 3D printed, either at home or through the cloud. Bear in mind that we are looking for something original; chess and checkers can already be downloaded on Cubify. We want great imagination and great design. Mix home printable pieces with cloud printable Ceramix and Colorstone, add crafts, boards and other mediums. The details are simple and the possibilities limitless.
To determine a winner, the Cubify community will vote for their favorites and the people’s choice group of finalists will be judged by a panel of 3D designers. The first place winner will receive a 2nd generation Cube 3D printer!
The contest will run through April 18th, 2014, and you can submit your design by uploading your 3D file below. (STL, OBJ, and PLY)
